These terms are an agreement between you and Gallucci Ventures LLC, which operates the app. “We” and “us” below mean that company.

What this is

A context-aware Spanish phrasebook and translator for everyday life in Medellín. It is organized around the situation you are in and answers in the register that situation calls for, rather than giving you one all-purpose translation.

It is a language aid. It is not a professional interpreter, and it is not advice — medical, legal, financial or otherwise. Being context-aware makes it more useful; it does not make it correct. Do not rely on it for anything where being misunderstood matters.

The Spanish is regional on purpose

The phrases are Medellín and paisa usage. They are written by AI models prompted for the Spanish spoken in Medellín, checked against Colombian sources, and corrected when someone who lives here tells us otherwise. They are not neutral Latin American Spanish and are not meant to be. Some of them will sound wrong elsewhere in the Spanish-speaking world, and that is the point of the app rather than a defect in it. No single phrase is guaranteed; treat the app as a guide, not a referee.

Translation is machine-generated

Translate and Chat Assist use an AI model. It gets things wrong, sometimes confidently. Check anything that matters with a person.

Your account

Keep your Google account secure; anyone with access to it has access to your phrases here. Do not use the app to break the law, to harass anyone, or to try to get at other people's data. We can close an account that does.

Phrases you submit

If you submit a phrase for the shared library, you are giving us permission to publish and edit it inside this app, and you confirm it is yours to give. You keep ownership of what you wrote. We are not obliged to publish anything, and we may remove it later.

Suggestions, and how the app improves

If you tell us something is missing, wrong, or confusing — through a submission, a message, or simply by searching for a phrase we do not have — we may act on it, build it into the app, and keep doing so without owing you a payment or a credit. We may also publish what we learn in aggregate. None of that identifies you; the privacy page explains how that works.

Advertising

There are no ads today. We may add them later, and they may be chosen to suit where you are and what you use the app for. We do not sell your personal information to do it. See the privacy page.

What belongs to us

The app, its design, its name, and the phrase library are ours. Use the app; do not copy the library out of it and publish it as your own.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, lose data, or be discontinued. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it. Some jurisdictions do not allow those limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the app means the current version applies.
